How do I transfer my domain?
It’s a simple 3-step process.
1. Type the domain in the search bar to make sure it meets the requirements:
- The domain was registered or transferred at least 60 days ago
- The domain is unlocked at the current registrar (WHOIS status will read “OK” or “Active”
- If it’s ccTLD (.uk or .us for example), it meets any additional requirements

2. Have the transfer code handy.
A.k.a. the EPP code, the transfer code is assigned to your current domain registrar at the time of registration. You can find it within the domain management area of your domain, or you can get it by contacting the registrar directly.
3. Add the domain to your cart and check out.
We’ll notify you as soon as the transfer is completed (usually 5-7 days).
Are there any limits to how many websites I can transfer?
You can transfer up to 500 domains at a time.
How long will the transfer take?
A domain transfer can take as little as 30 minutes or up to 8 days. Generally, the transfer it complete within 5-7 days.
Will my website be down during the process?
Nope. Transfers should complete without any downtime.
I already have a domain registered with C-DR and I just want to transfer it to a new account. Can I do that?
Is there any way to keep my registration information private?
By default your registration information is limited to state/province and country. You can make your information public via a setting in your domain management interface if you choose.
